The christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) youth leadership payed a visit to the distinguished senator princess Adaeze Stella Oduah today at her residence in ogbaru. The young Christian leaders plucked from every denomination of the Christian faith praised the senator for her show of good leadership in Anambra North and promised to support her in all possible ways.
The CAN visitors include Paschal Okoye(head of Catholic secreteriat of nigeria (CSN) Anambra State youth wing), Christian Nwangene(christian council of Nigeria (CCN) Anambra State youth leader), Rev. Paul Ogbonnaya (Penticostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Anambra state youth leader) and other leaders emanating from various christian denominations. They individually hailed and thanked the distinguished senator for giving the youths a voice in Anambra North, citing her as a leader worthy of emulation. After which she was presented an award of excellence by the Christian association of nigeria youth leaders.
The distinguished senator honoured by these young Christian men and women, addressed them in gratitude also sharing but a glimpse of her dream for the youths of Anambra North. She revealed that her passion for the growth of the youth have fuelled so many of her programmes and schemes centred at human capital development. She explained why and how the youths cannot be ignored and described them as the demograph that have the highest development potential and urged them to use that opportunity to make positive impacts and acquire the necessary knowledge and skill to effect this positivity. The senator further plighted on the poverty rate as seen in the rural communities even amongst the able bodied youths. ”The poverty has eaten so deep that they suffer not just from financial poverty but from mental poverty as well” she lamented, expressing the dangers of such phenomenon on the nation. She pledge to continue to invest and imbue on the youths, providing them as much as she can with the necessary platforms to acquire the knowledge and skill needed to emancipate themselves from poverty. Senator Oduah further urged the CAN youth leaders to always see her as a partner in the continual quest for human capital development and as a mother who will be ever eager to see her sons and daughters grow, develope and succeed.
She pledged to continue to serve Anambra North passionately as she has been doing. She further expressed gratitude for their support and promised not to renege on her commitment to the youths and Anambra North at large.
